Background

Maik Voets is an experienced business consultant with a demonstrated history of project management in multi-stakeholder projects. He has worked and lived in Ethiopia, Uganda and the Philippines. Where he worked as a business advisor for farmer organisations. He also has experience in the FMCG sector, ensuring adherence to quality standards when importing food products from South & South East Asia into Europe.

He is currently working on projects in the cocoa value chain in Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire.

His experiences across Africa, Asia and Europe have shaped him to be a well-rounded team player that easily connects across cultures and who applies a holistic approach in the design and execution of projects in the context of emerging markets.

Maik is currently in the final phase of completing a masters degree in Food Quality Management at the Wageningen University. Equipping him with the skills for solving production and sustainability issues in emerging markets.

• Currently in the process of obtaining a Master’s degree in Food Quality Management at the Wageningen University. In his graduating assignment he studied the impact of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive on the value chain for fresh fruits and vegetables.
• HAS University of Applied Sciences: Bachelor’s degree International Food and Agribusiness.
