Filtration Group | Greenfield factory Czech Republic

Filtration Group Corporation made a strategic expansion in Central Europe, a significant move to enhance its global manufacturing footprint and cater to diverse industries, including automotive. Larive International played a pivotal role in this transformative venture.
Group 130

Filtration Group Corporation (“FGC”) is a leading US-headquartered company that specialises in the design and manufacturing of a wide range of filtration solutions for customers in amongst others the automotive industry. The company envisioned investing in a new factory in Central Europe to manufacture filter system solutions for automatic transmissions, including suction filters, pressure filters, oil pans and filter media.

FGC assigned Larive to conduct a strategic location assessment in Central Europe (scope: Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Romania), advise on the site selection and support the implementation processes to start up the manufacturing facility (7,300 m² greenfield development in Pilsen, Czech Republic). Larive supported FGC throughout the full factory set-up process, including the incorporation of the company, recruitment of key management, submitting an application for state aid and various project management services, safeguarding smooth implementation of the construction, such as interaction with suppliers, permitting and supervising of the construction process on-site.

Bennett West, Chief Operating Officer at Filtran Division of FGC: “The establishment of this new site in the Czech Republic marks a next step for our global manufacturing footprint, allowing us to meet our customer requirements. Working with Larive International enabled us to speed up processes and remain cost-efficient throughout the development phase”.
