Webinar: ‘Aquaculture Roadmap Uganda’
The Republic of Uganda is a rapidly developing country, experiencing fast population growth and increasing incomes. The Ugandan population is projected to reach 100 MN in 2050, with 60% of this increase projected to take place in urban areas. The aquaculture sector in Uganda is one of the fastest-growing sectors in the country. The advent of cage farming on Lake Victoria and the entry of major international fish farmers have been drivers of the fast growth.
Business opportunities in the aquaculture sector in Uganda
The rapid development of the aquaculture sector directly links to food security and provides interesting opportunities for the Dutch private sector. On behalf of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Kampala, Larive International and Asigma have assessed the aquaculture sector of Uganda and identified the most interesting business opportunities for Dutch companies and knowledge institutions.
